APPLICATIONS

Measured resistance, beyond rehabilitation.

The same wearable, repeatable resistance can support movement training anywhere consistent technique and left/right balance matter.

Rehabilitation and therapy

Used under clinical guidance for motor planning, postural stability and balance goals, with measured data from each session.

Balance and coordination

For activities that demand fine spatial control and off-balance stability: gymnastics, dance, martial arts and skating.

Movement pattern training

Cords routed through a specific motion, such as a golf swing, throwing motion or skating stride, provide even resistance that reinforces muscle memory.

Field, court and endurance sports

For sports where body awareness, directional control and symmetry affect performance: soccer, hockey, basketball, running and cycling.

Military and occupational health

Commanders can see where troops move, but not how each muscle group is being loaded. Rion's Belt is designed to measure strain on individual muscle groups and compare the left and right sides over time. Pooled across a unit, that data could help reveal emerging patterns, such as rising lower-back or single-leg strain after a change in equipment like a new pack, and support the rehabilitation of injured service members.

Applications are conceptual and under continued development. The device is not currently available for commercial or athletic use.
